On Iraqi TV the following caption warned the population (via the amazing Riverbend):
“The Ministry of Defense requests that civilians do not comply with the orders of the army or police on nightly patrols unless they are accompanied by coalition forces working in that area.”
This comes on the heels of the charges by other elements in the Iraqi government that the US were at least partly responsible for some brutal murders in a mosque. (via Atrios)
