According to all the ranting and raving by mainstream media types I was under the impression that Chavez was dictator. I guess not.
The BBC's James Ingham in Caracas says Mr Chavez had expected a big win and will be very disappointed.
However, he swiftly conceded and urged the opposition to show restraint.
If he is going to be a real dictator Chavez is going to have to stop respecting the public will so much. Maybe he could talk to Calderon in Mexico about using the election equipment similar to that of Mexico's. You can pretty much get any result you want that way.
